Founded in 1948 in Hallein, Salzburg, as Halleiner Motorenwerke, HMW quickly made a name for itself with innovative motorcycle designs. During the 1950s, the company gained widespread acclaim for its technological advancements, particularly with the introduction of the Fuchs engine. This breakthrough laid a solid foundation for further innovations in Austrian technology.
Rise to Prominence
